About EALTAC

Who We Are

 EALTAC is a community-based Behavioral Threat Assessment and Management (BTAM) team. 

Our Mission

To prevent targeted violence by identifying early warning signs, providing support, and building a safer East Alabama. 

Who We Serve

We work across 10 counties: Barbour, Bullock, Chambers, Clay, Coosa, Elmore, Lee, Macon, Randolph, and Tallapoosa. 

Our Partners

We collaborate with schools, law enforcement, healthcare providers, and community organizations. 

ways to help

Everyone has a role in preventing violence and promoting safety. The East Alabama Threat Advisory Committee encourages individuals, schools, and community organizations to take part in building a safer East Alabama. Whether you’re a student, educator, law enforcement officer, or community member your actions matter

  • Attend our upcoming Bystander Awareness and Prevention Training (dates will be shared on our website).
     
  • Learn the warning signs of concerning behavior visit our Recognizing the Signs page for more information.
     
  • Share prevention resources with your school, workplace, or faith community

Report a Concern

 

  • If you notice behaviors that worry you, speak up early.
     
  • Contact your local law enforcement agency or submit information through the Report a Concern page.
     
  • Remember: Reporting a concern is not about punishment, it’s about getting help before harm occurs.
